Susan Boyle: Hear Britain's Got Talent star's first ever record release
By Jody Thompson, 17/04/2009

Susan Boyle was apparently an overnight sensation when she appeared on Britain's Got Talent last weekend.

She has since proved to be a huge star around the world, and has amassed some 30 million hits on YouTube for her performance on the show of I Dreamed A Dream from the hit musical Les Miserables.

But we can reveal that the 48-year-old Scottish singer has already released a record - and you can hear it here.

Our sister paper the Daily Record has revealed that Susan recorded a version of the old jazz standard Cry Me A River for a charity compilation CD to raise money for a school near her home in West Lothian.

The record, called the Millennium Celebration, was put together in 1999 in aid of the Whitburn Academy, where X Factor winner Leon Jackson went to school, and comprised purely of local unsigned acts.

Only 1000 copies were ever pressed and were all snapped up by local residents.

However, we're letting you the chance to hear Susan's contribution to the disc right here - just click on the link below...
