Holiday Houses in your Neighborhood

"Deck the houses with ... tons and tons of holiday lights!" New Yorkers across the boroughs draped their houses in festive lights this year. I nominate NYC for the new title: "City of Lights." This house in Bensonhurst Brooklyn went all out with light up penguins.

Holiday lights in the garden in Jackson Heights, Queens.

Patricia Smith in Pelham, NY sent us a photo of her first snowman of the year decked in holday lights.

The blazing beacon of holiday spirit is also in the Whitestone section of Queens on 23rd Avenue.

And so is this one! We're sure the airspace above Whitestone is all aglow and may even be giving the Empire State Building a run for its money.

The Christmas spirit has really hit this house in Bayside, Queens. Owner Rober Sibrizzi put up the lights to benefit St. Jude's Children's Hospital and has a donation for spectators. And he's high-tech! In order to keep an eye on his handiwork, Sibrizzi employs 16 closed circuit televisions. He has over 70,000 lights up, which he started hanging in September.

Many Bayside residents decorated to benefit charities this year. Anthony Cardinale uses controlled lights to coordinate his display, and is collection donations for all the lighting St. Mary's Children's Hospital.

The gang's all here at this Brooklyn holiday house - Santa Claus, Rudolg the Red-nosed Reindeer and a troop of wooden soliders.

This house in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn has it all: Bows, glowing snowflakes, Santa Claus, an angel's choir - the works!

Frosty the Snowman takes a time out to carol with two holiday penguins at this house located on 86th Street in Howard Beach.

And they holiday cheer has hit the Bronx too. For more holiday spirit, check out our gallery of pets decked out for the holidays...
